Noted events in his life were:
• Background Information. 735 Henry, Count of Eu, fedal Lord of Hastings was son and heir of John. He was underage in 1170 when he father died. In about 1179, he married Matilda, widow of Oabert de Preux and daughter of Hamelin Plantagenet, the Earl of Warenne. Henry died in 1183 and was buried at Foucarmont Abbey. His widow died in 1207.

"Johannes comes Augi" made donations to the abbey of St Michel, Tréport by a charter dated (abt 1169/70), witnessed by "Henricus et Robertus filii comitis et A[elicia] comitissa Augi" [Tréport Saint-Michel 32, p. 64]. Henri d'Eu succeeded his father as Comte d'Eu, Lord of Hastings.
Henri married Maud Plantagenęt, daughter of Hamelin Plantagenęt Earl of Surrey and Isabelle de Warenne 735.
