Noted events in his life were:
• Background Information. 735 Henry, Count of Eu, fedal Lord of Hastings was son and heir of John. He was underage in 1170 when he father died. In about 1179, he married Matilda, widow of Oabert de Preux and daughter of Hamelin Plantagenet, the Earl of Warenne. Henry died in 1183 and was buried at Foucarmont Abbey. His widow died in 1207.

Maud married Henry Comté d’Eu Lord Hasting, son of Jean I Comté d’Eu Lord of Hastings and Alix d’Aubigny 141,599.,753 (Henry Comté d’Eu Lord Hasting died on 16 Jul 1191 in Fécamp, Haute-Normandie, France 735 and was buried in 1191 in Fécamp Abbey, Fécamp, Haute-Normandie, France 735.)
