726 Adeliza was the eldest daughter of Godefroy la Barbe, Duke of Lothier, Lorraine Inferieure, Count of Brabant and Lovain, and his first wife Kide, daughter of Albert III, Count of Namur. She was first married to King Henry I of England. Three years after the death of Henry I, she married William d'Aubigny. She retired in 1150 to a nunnery at Affighem in Sourth Brabant, where she died and was buried 23 Apr 1151, at age 48.
