• After the Pueblo Revolt, Isabel and Juan lived in San Lorenzo near El Paso. At this time, Isabel was a successful farmer & managed to raise enough food to support her family while her husband and the other men were occupied with defending the settlement.
• She and her family returned to New Mexico in 1693 along with Don Diego de Vargas and they settled in Santa Fé
• Isabel requested and was granted the land that belonged to her grandfather, Antonio Baca, south of the Santa Fe Plaza the river.
• A 1697 census shows that Isabel was a window with six children living in Albuquerque.
• Isabel was a poor widow living in Albuquerque at the age of 73 in 1733.
