• Background Information. 713 ~George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol II, pgs 652, William de Bulkylegh, granted and confirmed the lands to his son David by deeds in 1302. Married Maude, daughter of Sir John Davenport, Knight. Children of William and Maud given by Ormerod were:
Willliam de Bulkelegh, alive in 1314 and 1318, lord of a share of Bulkeley, married a daughter of Robin Offerton of Wtworth. His daughter was named Alice, who was sol heir and wife of thomas de Holford.
Robert de Bulkyley, of Oteworth, second son and heir, had Eaton in Davenham from his father, and lands from his brother William.
Roger de Bulkylegh, assumed the name of Norbury.
Richard de Bulkylegh, living in 1312, assumed the name of Prestland.
Thomas de Bulkylegh, living in 1306, married Alice daughter and coheiress of Matthew de Alpraham.
