The Maltby-Malbie Family History, pp. 77-79. has a copy of Visitation of Yorkshire, Edited by Foster & dated 1487, which presents two pedigrees of the Malebisse family titled Acaster Malbisse. The first peidgree has:

Hugo de Malebisse
|
Hugo married to Emma de Percy, daughter and heiress of Peter de Percy of Acaster
|
Richard de Malbisse
|
Emma

The second Pedigree shows:

I. Hugo Malebis, to whom Roger de Mobrai (son and heir of Nigel de Albina) granted (inter alia) the fee of Lands in Carlton,Silton, Kepwick, Morton, Dale and Hornby [Vide York Cop. Papers, Vol II., p. 850]

II. One authority states: "Sir William Malebis married Emma de Percey, daughter of Henry de Percy of Acaster." I am inclined to think this is the correct record, and that Sir William (2) is the same William de Maltby, who was in York in 1100.

III. Sir Richard Malebis (Ricardus Malebyse) of Acaster Malbis, 28 Aug 1179, Roger do Molbray and Henry de Munford released the capital messuage "et totam medietatem terra de Eton" to Richard Malebisse. [Vide York Cor. Papers. Vol. II, p. 954]

"Note" - Acaster-Malbis: Emma de Percy was evidently either sole, or co-heiress of Henry de Percy of Acaster, hence her son is called 'of Acaster Malbis.'"

In the 12th and 13th centuries part of this manor seems to have been held by the Malebiche family. Hugh Malebiche, donor of land in this parish to Byland Abbey [Burton, Mon. Ebor. 334] and Guisborough Priory, [Guisbro' Chartul. (Surt. Soc.), ii, 8, 10] was brother of William Malebiche, whose son Richard [Ibid. Another pedigree, however, makes Richard son of a Hugh Malebiche (ibid. 60-61).] in 1200 gave £100, besides goshawks, greyhounds and palfreys, to recover lands in Marton and elsewhere which he had forfeited by his attack on the Jews of York [Rot. de Oblatis et Fin. (Rec. Com.), 41; Pipe R. 2 John, m. 8 d. Peter de Brus was Richard's chief surety on this occasion].

• Background Information. 1407
Emma de Percy was the natural daughter of William de Percy and an unknown woman. It was recorded in 1212 that William de Percy gave 1½ Carucates which he held in chief of Kirmond le Mire (wap. Wraggoe, co. Lincoln) to William Malebisse with his daughter in frank-marriage and that William's heirs were holding them. The gift constituted a moiety of 3 carucates held there by the first William de Percy in 1086 and by Alan de Percy in 1115-18. In 1175 the land and service of William Malebisse was assigned to the share of the earl of Warwick in the division of the Percy barony. William Malebisse, who was of Acaster Malbis and son of Hugh Malebisse, died in 1176.
