• Background Information. 141 Eleanor de Lovaine, surviving daughter and heir of John Lovaine by his wife Margaret Weston, was born at Little Easton on 27 Mar 1345, and was baptized there. Eleanor and her older sister Isabella were in ward to the King, who granted their marriage to Thomas de Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, and gave the custody of their lands to Bartholomew de Burghersh. Before June 1359, Eleanor was married to William de Bourghchier or Bourgchier and on 16 Aug. William and Eleanor received seisin of her father's lands. In 1365, they made a settlement of the Lovaine manors. William de Bourghchier died in 1375 and Eleanor died 5 Oct 1397. Their son and heir, William Bourghchier, received the comté de Eu in Normany from Henvy V.
