Geoffrey (III) St. Leger, in 1265, had a grant of free warren in Wartling, Bucksteep, Dallington and Broxmedle in Sussex and in Offley, Hertfordshire [Calendar of Charter Rolls, 2:54]. The manor of Bucksteep had been granted to Geoffrey St. Leger by Thomas Warbleton in free marriage with his daughter Agnes [C.P. 6:566]. Becuase of his land holdings it is assumed that this Geoffrey was the son of William.
