• Background Information. 805 Sir Robert de Pulford, lord of Pulford, in the county of Pulford, knight, was living in 1348, when Sir James Audley was Sheriff of that county. He was married to the widow of Thomas Belgrave. Sir Robert was the son of another Sir Robert de Pulford who was alive in 1308, and was the son of yet another Sir Robert Pulford, lord of Pulford, who was with King Edward I in the wars of Scotland.

• Background Information. 713 Robert de Pulford, Lord of Pulford, 1337, and rector of Chedle, 1321 and 1337, and heir to John, was a possible 2nd son of Robert or the son of Philip de Pulford.
