Christian is also interpretted as "Adam I" in many geneological studies. It has been told that the Falaughers are of English descent - probably originating in the Southeastern part of England. It is further claimed that Adam Flaugher came to the United States from Switzerland with his wife who was from the Black Forest in Alsace, Germany.

The above information is inscribed on Christian's Naturalization paper according to a family geneological study commissioned by Otto Mueller in St. Louis, MO prior to 1950. Portions of that study pertaining to the direct line of William Flaugher were copied in September 1953. Mueller was the husband of Lucy Flaugher, an aunt of Howard Flaugher - father of William and Howard Jr.
