General Notes:
Adam assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of Sergeant, Captian Clapsadler's Company of the First Battalion of Cumberland County commanded by Col. Jas. Johnston, Pennsylvania Militia. Descendants are eligible for membership in lineage societies: Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) or Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
On the 8th of Aug. 1825 Adam Flaugher Senior died intestate. Bond given the 22th of Aug. 1825 of $400 by Adam Flaugher Jr., George Flaugher, George Harrison and James McNown. George Flaugher and Adam Flaugher Jr. appointed administrators. 139 acres of land by the Edmund Lyne's Survey No. 1375, Katherine Ann Hidler Flaugher (Adam senior's wife), relict, relinquishes her right to administratrix. -Administrator's Testimony in Record "A" Brown Co., Probate Court Records, Estate No. 7290 packet.

After the Revolutionary War was over, Adam went backto the family and stayed there until Spring of 1793. During the time of the Revolutionary War, Adam's mother must have died as we find his father Christian had remarried.

Adam married Catherine Ann Hidler, daughter of George Hidler and Catherine. (Catherine Ann Hidler was born in 1761 in Pennsylvania, died about 1790 in Brown, Ohio and was buried in Flaugher Cemetery near Aberdeen, Ohio.)
