Thomas Tuchet, son and heir, by 1st wife, was ordered in December 1341 to find archers in Derbyshire for service in Scotland and France; and in 1342 he was trying to obtain the right of view of frank pledge at Markeaton. He was called upon to supply a man-at-arms for Ashwell, but was represented in France during the campaign of 1346-47 by his son John. He married Joan. He died 18 August 1349.
