Einion ab Owain, the elcdest son of Owain ab Howel, was slain in the battle of Pen Coed Colwyn, in Gwent, in his father's life tiem, 983, and left three sons: Edwyn ab Einion; Tudor ab Einion, who was slain at the battle of Llangwm, in Dinmael, 933; and Cadell ab Einion. Cadel ab Einion had a son, Tudor ab Cadell, who married Nesta, daughter to the Earl of Devonshire, by whom he had issue of two sons, Tudor, ancestor of the sovereign Princes of South Wales and Goronwy, who became Prince of Tegeingl, in Gwynedd.
