Witnesses: José Saavedra, 70, citizen of Alamenda in the Alburquerque jurisdiction; Juan José Lucero, 60, married, citizen in the Albuquerque jurisdiction; Juan Ygnacio Salas, 76, citizen of the Cochití area. Father Martínez de Arellano forwareded the proceed to Durango. On 22 Jul 1824, Bishop Castañiza granted a dispensation and assigned as penance that both parties were to take communion more than required annually by the church's precepts and recit one rosary of five mysteries every day for a week. He ordered the priest at Cochití to publish banns. Assuming no new impediment arose, he was to marry the couple, granting them the nuptial blessing. 1. 29 Jul 1798, Albuquerque, Father Guerra baptized three-day old Santiago de Jesús, the legitimate son of Eusebio Rael and Rosa Montoya.
