• Background Information. 141 Warin de Lisle, son and heir by 1st wife, was ordered on 1 January 1284/5 to pay 100 marks owing of his father's debt to the Crown by yearly instalments of 20 marks. On the death s.p.s., 10 November 1293, of Isabel de Forz, Countess of Aumale, sister and heir of Baldwin (de Reviers), Earl of Devon, he was found to be one of her heirs. In 1294, he was going to Gascony as yeoman of Thomas Latimer of Warden, but took care to make his claim to Isabel's inheritance.
Warin de Lisle, married Alice, daughter of Sir Piers de Montfort, of Beaudesert, co. Warwick, by Maud, daughter and heir of Mathew de la Mare. He died shortly before 7 Dec 1296. H is widow had dower assigned to her 18 February 1296/7. She married (grant of her marriage 10 May 1308), as 3rd wife, Robert Fitz Walter, Lord Fitz Walter. In 1315 she was going on pilgrimage to Santiago, and in 1317 she went abroad with her husband. He died 18 January 1325/6.
