Sir Thomas Wake Knight
- Born: Blisworth, Towcester, Northamptonshire,
- Marriage: Elizabeth Cransley 1058
- Died: 1346, Siege of Calais, France 1058
General Notes:
Most sources don't show this Sir Thomas Wake, but rather give his son, another Sir Thomas Wake, as the son of Sir Hugh Wake and Joan de Wolverton. I am basing this generation on "A talk given in Blisworth Village Hall by Sir Hereward Wake on 28th March 2003" and Victoria County History, A History of the County of Northampshire, Volume 4, pp. 224-228.
Information about this person:
• Background Information. 1058 On his death in 1315, Sir Hugh Wake was succeeded by his son Thomas, who was granted free warren in Blisworth on 22 February 1330. In the same year, he defended his right to view of frankpledge in the manor. He married Elizabeth daughter and heir of Hugh Cransley, and was succeeded about 1346 by his son Sir Thomas Wake, the husband of Alice sister and co-heir of William de Pateshull. He was living in September 1379, but probably died soon after, leaving Blisworth to his wife for her lifetime.
