• Background Information. 739 Sir Hugh, younger son of Baldwyn, the last baron of that name, and brother of John baron Wake, had by gift of his father, the lordship of Deping in Lincolnshire, and Blyseworth in Northamptonshire. He was one of the knight of the shire for the country of Northampton, in 30 Edward II and died in 1346, leaving issue by Joan, daughter and co-heir of John de Wolverton.

• Background Information. 1204 John had married first Joan daughter of Bartholomew Pecche, by whom he had four daughters, Joan, Sarah, Cecilia and Constance. She was dead in 1331, when he was married to his second wife, also called Joan, by whom he had a son Ralph and two daughters, Margery and Elizabeth.
