Footnote (g) p. 646, John de Wilington, son and heir of Ralph de Willington and Juliane, said to be the daughter and apparently heir of Sir Richard de Lomene, had three brothers, Rainald, Henry and Thomas.
Footnote (b) p. 647, John Wilington and his brother Henry were taken prisoner on 16 Mar 1321/2 for being "in arms against the King" at Boroughbridge. Henry was was drawn and hanged at Bristol.
Footnote (d) p. 649. John Wilington's heir was his uncle, Rainald, said to be aged 70 on whose death s.p., 24 Apr 1355. The representation of the family passed to John, then aged 15, son and heir of Henry (d. 23 May 1349), and son and heir of Henry de Wilington, who was hanged after Boroughbridge in 1322.
• Background Information. 1252 The Pedigree of Wilington fromThe History of the Town and Castle of Tamworth, pp. 129-130: Sir Henry Willington, Knight Banneret, was with his eldest brother John, made prisoner at the battle of Bannockburn. He subsequently took part with the earl of Lancaster, and was executed at Bristol in 1322. Henry de Willington married Margaret, daughter of Sir Alexander de Frevile, by Joan his wife, a coheiress of the Marmoyons of Tamworth. He left a son and successor, also named Sir Henry Willington.
Henry married Margaret de Freville, daughter of Sir Alexander de Freville Knight and Joan de Cromwell.1252
