Sir Hugh de Courteney, Baron of Devon, married, 11 August 1325 (Cont. 27 September 1314), Margaret, 1st surviving daughter of Humphrey de Bohn, Earl of Hereford and Essex, by Elizabeth, daughter of Edward I. Sir Hugh de Courteney died 2 May 1377, aged 73, and was buried in Exeter Cathedral. His widow (by whom he had 8 sons and 9 daughters) died 16 December 1391, and was also buried there.
