He concluded a peace treaty with his uncle, Robert of Flanders, in which Robert was to be ruler of Flanders, and Baldwin of Hainault in 1084
• Death : Died in the East while on the 1st Crusade.
Baldwin married Yda de Louvaine, daughter of Henri II Comte de Louvaine and Adela Countess of Orlamunda and Thuringia. (Yda de Louvaine was born about 1063 and died about 1139.)
