Paulín Baca, son of Juan Francisco Baca and María de Jesús Martín, married María Lugarda Tafoya at Belén on 26 May 1779. By 1790 they were living in the second Plaza of Belén, when he gave his age as thirty-five, and hers as thirty-one. They had four boys (9-7-5-3) and a girl five months old. Paulín died at Belén on 12 Oct 1832. Their known children were the following: Pablo, who married María Manuela Lucero; Juan, who married Dolores Luna; Manuel, who at twenty enrolled in the militia in 1808, and was then described as having "pelo güero, ojos garzos, color blanco, sejas güeras, naris rroma y varios lunares en el rostro"; José Tomás, born 18 Nov 1796, who married Rosalia Lucero in 1819; and Rafael 5 May 1795, who first married Gertrudis García, and then Victoria Alderete on 6 Apr 1856.
