Thurstan had married Margery de Walton before 1315, and was sueing in her right. Perhaps a dispute about this land was the ground of the animosity between Bradshaigh and Northlegh.

In 1374 Margery, daughter of John of Walton, formerly wife of Thurstan of Northleigh, put in her claim to the manor of Ulnes Walton and other properties. Sir Thurstan of Northlegh and wife Margery are mentioned in 1334.
