Sir William de Fiennes, Knight, heir to his brother Joahn and son of Sir William and his wife Joan de Say, died 3 Heny IV, and lies buried in Hurst-Monceaux church, under a flat stone ornamented with brass ; leaving issue, by Elizabeth, daughter and heir of William Batisford (who brought him a good estate in Sussex), twos sons, first Sir Roger Fiennes, Knight and second Sir James Fiennes, Knight.

William married Margery Peplesham, daughter of Symon Peplesham and Joan Rowse. (Margery Peplesham was born about 1434 and died on 21 Jan 1407.)
