• Background Information. 1206 Otho de Carrio, son of William, had issue William, unto whom King John, in the 14th year of his reign, made a grant of Mullesford, reciting the grant formerly made unto Gerald by King Henry I, in which Herny I granted unto Gerald, the grandfather of Otho, father of the said William, which had issue Nicholas, which had issue William, Baron of Carru & Mullesford. William had issue Sir Nicholas, who married Amicia daughter of Richart Tuyt, the younger of Ordon.
