• Background Information. 1358 Thomas Lomard, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, came on the Mary and John in 1630, bringing Bernard and two other children. He was admitted freman 9 Oct 1630. He removed later to Scituate and next to Barnstable.

Thomas Lombard was baptized at Thorncombe, Dorsetshire, England on 2 Feb 1581/2, and died between 10 Jun 1663, the date of his will, and 8 Feb 1664/5, the date of the inventory. He was married four times, with only his the name of his last wife, Joyce _______ Wallen, widow of Ralph Wallen, known.
Thomas Lombard joined the Barnstable church by 1641. Both of his sons were baptized there, and he is referred to as "Brother Lumbar Senior" at the baptism of the second son. He requested, 19 Oct 1630, as "Tho: Lumber," and was admitted 18 May 1631 & took the oath of fidelity at Barnstable in 1657.

Boston 10 Jun 1661 to Joseph Benjamin, son of John Benjamin Jobaniah, bp Dorchester 23 Jun 1639 with no further records beyond that date Jedediah, b. Barnstable 20 Sep 1640, bp. there Sep 1641, m. Barnstable 20 May 1668 Hannah Wing Benjamin, b. Barnstalbe 26 Aug 1642, bp. there 5 Aug 1643; m. 1st, Jane Warren 19 Sep 1672 , 2nd Sarah Walker 19 Nov 1685 and 3rd, Hannah _____ Whetstone, widow. All marriages took place in Barnstable.
