Sarah Douglas, daughter of William Douglas and Ann Mattle was born in Ipswich, Mass, 8 Apr 1643 and baptized 8 Mar 1646. She removed with her parents, in 1660, to New London, Conn, and there married in Oct 1661, John, son of William Keeney. He was made a freeman of New London in 1670. Sarah died 4 Aug 1689. John Keeney married two more times and had five daughters and a son, John. Mr. Keeney died at Niantic, 3 Feb 1716. Sarah and John Keeney had one child, Susannah Keeney, b. in New London, 6 Sep 1663, who married Ezekiel Turner.
