Sir Richard de Peshall acquired aquired a considerable fortune with his wife, Johanna, daughter and heir of Reginald Chetwynde, of Chetwynde, and left a son and heir, Sir Thomas Peshall, knight living in 4 Richard II, who by his first wife, Philippa had two sons. The eldest was Richard who left two daughters who married in the time of Henry VII. The elest, Isabella married Sir Thomas Grosvenor.
• Background Information. 732 Sir Thomas' second son, Richard, received the Manors of Chetwynd and Bellaport and married Margaret Malpas, the sister of Helen who married Richard's brother Nicolas. Richard died without a male heir, but had two daughters. Richard's daughters. Isabelle married Thomas Grosvenor who received the Manor of Bellaport which was to remain in their family for generations. The second daughter, Joyce, married William Pigott, and the Manor of Chetwynd.
