Mr. Abraham Mellowes was born around 1570 and died in 1639, He invested fiftly pounds in the stock of the Massachusetts Bay Company before he came to New England. He owned an interest in property in Cambridge, England, which he sold shortly before 1607. He was admitted to the church at Charleston, with his wife Martha and son Edward on 19 Aug 1633. He received a grant of 200 acres in Sep 1638. He died before 4 Jun 1639, when his will was mentioned in the General Court.

Abraham Mellows, his wife Martha and his son Edward were admitted to the Charleston church on the nineteenth day of a month late in 1633, probably October(¹). He was listed as a freeman on 14 May 1694 (²). He held the office of Charlestown overseer of highways, 13 Jan 1634/5.

Abraham was granted two acres of planting gournd in Charleston on 10 Jun 1634/5. On 6 Sep 1638, the Massachusetts Bay General Court granted to "Mr. Abraham Mellows" two hundred acrews of land (²). On 4 Jun 1639, the will of Mr. Abraham Mellows was delivered to the Suffolk court. (²) On 2 Jun 1641, the General Court granted "200 acres of land...to the heir or assign of Mr. Abrah[am] Mellows"

Abraham was born about 1570, and died between 23 Apr 1638 and 30 Dec 1638.

Abraham Mellows, born c. 1570 in England, died shortly before Jun 4 1639 in Charlestown, Mass. He married Martha, daughter of Rev. Edward Bukeley. She was born about 1572.

Martha Bulkeley, married, about 1568, Abraham Mellowes, of Odell, Bedfordshire and Boston, Lincolnshire. He was born about 1570. They had three sons, Oliver, Abraham and Edward. They also had three daughters, Elizabeth, Catherine (wife of William Newland), and Anne (wife of John Smith). They immigrated to new England in 1634, where they settled in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Martha, were admitted to the church at Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1633. He was admitted freemand in 1634, and served as overseer of highways in 1635.
