Miguel de Archibeque, legitimate son of Captain Juan de Archibeque and Antonia Gutiérrez, married María Roybal, daughter of Captain Ygnacio Roybal and Francisca Gómez, at San Ildefonso, November 2, 1716. Both parties gave their age as twenty. Three years later his widowed father married María's elder sister. Miguel was absent from Santa Fe, trading in Sonora for his merchant father, when the latter was killed. Miguel made his own last will in 1727, dying on August 15 of that year. In it he declared that he had been married to María Roybal for eleven years, and that they had only two children: a boy, Lorenzo Claudio, who died in infancy, and a girl, Juliana. Juliana married Juan Gabaldón on July 26, 1735, with her aunt María de Archibeque and husband Francisco Casados as witnesses.
