Lucas Montaño was a captain of the Salinas district in the middle of the seventeenth century. His wife was Sebastiana López and Sebastiana's three daughters were also Montaño. Both parents were dead by 1685 when their daughter María, native of the Salinas and widow of Juan de Moraga, married Hernando Martín [DM, 1685, no. 3].
