• Family Background Information. 169,713 Edmund Dutton was the youngest son of Sir Thomas and brother of Sir Lawrence Dutton, the heir to the Dutton estates. He died before Lawrence, so he never inherited the Dutton lands, but when Lawrence died without an heir in 1392, Edmund's son, Sir Peter Dutton, inherited the estates. Edmund became Lord of the Mannors of Church-Minshull and Aston-Mondram by his marriage to Joan the heiress. Joan died 11 Ricahrd 2, 1387, at which time her son Sir Peter Dutton was twenty years old.
