Thomas Brigham, baptized at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, 21 May 1575, is mentioned with his two children in the will of his great uncle Henry Brigham of Seaton, dated 30 Jun 1606. On 19 Mar 1633, administration on the estate of this Thomas Brigham, deceassed was given to his daughters Anna Brigham and Constance Brigham (Crosby). [Amd. Act Books, P. & E. Court of York, Harthill Deanery] It is very likely that this Thomas Brigham had no son living at the time of his death, considering the fact the it was his daughters who are given the task of administration of his will.

Thomas Brigham married 4 Feb 1601, Mrs. Isabel (Watson) Ellithorpe, who was baptized 4 Feb 1601 at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, daughter of James Watson & the widow of Richard Ellisthorpe to whome she had been married on 27 Oct 1583. Both Thomas and his younger brother Robert Bringham had married widows over a dozen years older than themselves. Isabel Watson, wife of Thomas Brigham was the eldest sister of Constance Watson, wife of John Brigham, eldest brother of Thomas Brigham.
