• Background Information. 1552 Richard Linton was of Medford, Mass., in 1630, Watertown in 1638 and one of the first settlers of Lancaster in 1643, where he died 30 Mar 1665. Inventory filed 20 Jun 1665.
The Lancaster inhabitants adopted a covenant on 28 Nov 1653. Among the signers were John Whitcomb, John Prescott, Richard Linton and Lawrence Waters.
