Thomas Hale was probably born in England in 1633, and traveled to New England with his parents in 1635. He married, 26 May 1657, in Salem Mary Hutchinson. She was baptized at North Muskham, Notts, England on 28 Dec 1639. Mary was the daughter of Richard Hutchinson and Alice Bosworth.
Thomas, Jr., spend most of his adult life in Newbury. In 1660, his father, Thomas Hale, Sr., the conveyance of his land on Newbury Neck. This was a valuable property which remained in the family for several generations. After Thomas, Jr., the land was passed onto his own son, also named Thomas, very early on in 1682.
Thomas Hale, Junior, died young in 22 Oct 22 1688. His widow moved to Boxford with her son Joseph about 1692 and remarried, 5 Feb 1694/95 to William Watson of Boxford, the father of her son, Joseph's wife. Mr. Watson died in Boxford 27 Jun 1710. Mary Hutchinson survived him, and died at the same place on 8 Dec 1715.
