On the death of Patrick, 11 Edward II, his interest in Speke finally passed to his uncle John le Noreis and aunt Nicola Haselwal, who were now the holders both parts of the one-fourth grant from Nicola's father Patrick de Hasewal.
John le Noreis was summoned to select jurors on a trial respecting the advowson of Walton-on-the-Hill, in Placita de quo Warranto, 1292, and he summoned from Lancashire with many Knights and Men at Arms to attend the Great Council of Westminster in 1324. First, the Speke and Sutton line were collateral line, rather than the Speke growing out of the Sutton line. He also points out that the inculsion of a second Henrey after Alan, father of Henry, John, Alan and Robert. That Henry was not from Speke. [p. 143]
