Amabil de Venables, wife of Richard Davenport, lord of Davenport to whom her brother gave half of Merton.
• Background Information: 685 Gilbert de Venables married long before arriving in England, and had a son who succeeded to his lands in Tourraine. Gilbert's first wife died, and he married again after coming to England. His second wife was Margery, daugther of Waltheof, son of Wolfric, lord of Hatton, by whom he had issue, William de Venables who succeeded him to the barony of Kinderton, and Amabilla, who married Richard de Davenport.
