Margaret, Baroness of Multon, conveyed her great estate with the Barony of Multon, to the Dacre family with her marriage to Randulf de Dacre, Lord of Darce, of the North.
• Background Information. 141
Margaret de Multon, daughter and heir, and, according to modern doctrine, Barononess of Gilsland, was born at Mulgrave Castle, 20, and baptized 24 July 1300, at Lythe. She married, before 4 February 1315/6, Ranulph de Darce, afterwards Lord Darce, who abducted her by night from Warwick Castle. She died 10 Dec 1361.
