He married, sometime after 1021, Judith von Schweinfurt, daughter of Heinrich von Schweinfurt, Margraf auf dem Nordgau and his wife Gerberga von Gleisberg.
The Chronica Boemorum names "Braziclau" as son of "Oudalricus" and his mistress Bozena [Cosmæ Pragensis Chronica Boemorum I.34, MGH SS IX, p. 56].
The Cronica Principum Regni Boemiæ records the death in 1055 of "Bretislaus…filius Odalrici" [Cronica Principum Regni Boemiæ, Scriptores Rerum Bohemicarum, Tomus II, p. 428].
Bretislav married Judith von Schweinfurt, daughter of Heinrich von Schweinfurt Markgraf auf dem bayerischen Nordga and Gerberga von Gleisberg, about 1021.1018 (Judith von Schweinfurt died on 2 Aug 1058 and was buried 1061 or later in St. Veit, Prague 1019.)
