Guigues d'Albon, son of Guigues V comté d'Albon and his wife, Mathilde, succeeded his father as comté d'Albon. He married Clemence or Marguerite de Mâcon, daughter of Étienne I, comté de Mâcon and his wife, Béatrix de Lorraine.

Guigues IV d'Albon was the son of Guigues III of Albon and Mathilde. He had married Margaret (Clémence) of Burgundy, daughter of Stephen, Count Palatine of Burgundy, niece of Pope Calixtus II, and had had three children:
• Guigues V d'Albon, Count of Albon, who used The nickname of his father will take the title of Dauphin of Viennois
• Béatrice d'Albon, married to Aymar I of Poitiers, Count of Valentinois
