• Background Information. 718 Geffrey Savage married Petronill, daughter of Hugh le Despenser, and dying in 1231 (15 Henry III), left two daughters, Lucia and Philippa, and three sons, Geffrey, Robert and William. When Robert le Savage, heir to his father died in 43 Henry III, he left his estate to Thomas de Ednesource, the son of his sister Lucia and to Philippa, the then wife of Hugh de Meynill, his other sister.
