According to the Histoire Générale de Languedoc, Gerberge was the daughter of Comte Geoffroy [Histoire Générale de Languedoc 2nd Edn., Tome II, p. 529]. She married Girbert vicomte de Gévaudan, de Millau et de Carlata, and they were the parents of Douce who married Ramón Berenguer III conde de Barcelona.
