From The curious Pedigree of Lt. Thomas Minor, NEHGR, July 1984, page 184:
Tomas Minor occurs as a witness to the will of John Veale of Chew Magna, husbandman, on 6 Jan 1572/73, buried, 15 Nov 1573. He married Joan, who was buried in Chew Magna, 21 Dec 1592.
Thomas was a Tailor, and an abstract of his will, dated 20 Oct 1573, proved 15 Sep 1574, survives despite the German bombing at Exeter in 1942. Most of the other wills in Somerset were destroyed. In his will, Thomas asked to be buried at Chew Magna. He mentions his wife, his children Clement, John, Edith and Richard Kente, possibly a son-in-law.
The manor court rolls show Joan succeeding her husband in the same message on 19 July 1574, under a grant of 29 Jun 1554, likely close to the date they were married. Their son John was age 12 on 2 Apr 1578 and married 23 Jun 1487 to Philippa Simons.
Thomas married Joan. (Joan was buried on 21 Dec 1592 in Chew Magna, Somersetshire, England.)
