Robert de Meinill, the second, son and heir, in 1166 was returned as holding 3˝ fees of William Paynel, and 1 fee of William Fossard. In the same year he was amerced 100s in Dickering Wapentake for having, with William de arundel, appropriated a whale which had been cast ashore. He granted to Guisborough Priory land in Eston in Cleveland.
