Durham. Alice and Dolfin had a son, Maldred who married the daughter of John de Stuteville.

William Walcher was the bishop of Durham from 1071. He was originally from Liege (Flanders) and the first non-Englishman to hold that see, which he was appointed to by William the Conqueror. He was murdered by the locals of Northumberland in 1080, which lead to William the Conqueror sending in an army into Northhumberland.
