~Baronia Anglica Concentrata, Vol. I, p. 347, Robert Fitz Maldred married Isabel, sister and heir of Henry Neville, and only daughter and heir of Geoffrey Neville and his wife Emma, the daughter and heir of Bertrm de Bulmer, lord of Branspeth, in Durham. ⁸¹⁴

Emma was the daughter of Betram de Bulmer, and possibly Emma, daughter of Robert Fossard. This was Emma's second marriage, before being the wife of Geoffrey de Valoignes, who died in 1169. Emma was also the heir of her brother William and the granddaughter Ansketil de Bulmer, who was steward of Robert Fossard. Ansketil de Bulmer may have been married to the heiress of Piers de Humez of Brancepeth.

Geoffrey de Neville married, before Michalmas 1176, Emma, daughter of Bertram of Bulmer and his wife Emma, daughter of Robert Fossard. Geoffrey was dead by Michaelmas 1193, and Emma, by 1208.

Emma married Geoffrey de Neville Lord of Ashby, son of Gilbert de Neville and Unknown, before 1176 in England.⁷²² (Geoffrey de Neville Lord of Ashby was born in Ashby, Lincoln, England and died about 1193 in England ⁷²¹.)
