• Background Information. 160 Reynold de Mohun, Lord of Dunster by his wife Alice de Briwere, the fourth daughter and eventually coheir of Sir William de Briewere, Lord of Horsley, Derbyshire (d. 1226) by his wife Beatrice de Vaux.

• Background Information. 141 Reynold de Mohun, presumably younger and only surviving son, and apparently heir to his brother William. He had livery of the greater part of his inheritance in 1204, but in that year, on the loss of Normandy, by adhering to John, he lost his estates there. He took a prominent part in the invasion of France in 1206, and accompanied King John to Ireland in 1210. He married Alice, 4th daughter of Sir William Briwere, and in 1233, coheir to her brother William Briwere, the younger. Reynold de Mohun died in 1213. Alice remarried to William Paynel, of Bampton, Devonshire.
