Amice de Rumilly
Another name for Amice was Avice le Meschines. General Notes: ~Cokayne's Complete Peerage, 2nd Edition, (Chart, "Lisle of Rougemont & Lisle of Kinston), Vol. VIII, between pages 48 & 49, William de Meschines, son-in-law of Robert de Romelli, lord of Harewood, and the brother of Ranulph, Earl of Chester, was married to Cicely and they were the parents of Avice or Amice de Rumelli, a.k.a. Avice de Meschines 141 Amice married Sir William de Courcy, son of William de Courcy and Emma de Falaise.141 (Sir William de Courcy was born about 1105 in Stogursey, Williton, Somerset, England and died about 1130 in Irby, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England 141.) |
