• Background Information. 641 Joseph was born in New Haven, Connecticut in Jan 1647 and was baptized there on 17 Jan 1641. He married Sarah Parker, and in about 1662, settled in East Saybrook, connecticut. In 1667, Saybrook was incorporated into the town of Lyme. He died in Lyme, 25 Nov 1718. His wife Sarah died there also on 14 Sep 1726 at the age of 90. Joseph was a prominent man in Lyme, being many years a townsman, Surveyor, Recorder, Justice of the Peace and Deacon of the Church.
