Alan de Singleton, son and heir of William de Singleton, married twice. Alan was married first to Hawise de Cottam, and with her had a son, Thomas, who died s.p. and a daughter named Joan. Joan de Singleton married Thomas Banastre and carried the Singleton estates in Singleton, Broughton, Billsborough, Dillworth and elsewhere into the Banestre family.
