They were to take charge of Cecily's son Henry, heir to Sir John le Noreyes, and his inheritance of half the manor of Speke. If Henry were to die while he was a minor, the manor would be in the hands of his sister Katherine.

• Records and Notes. 920 In 1379, Cecily, the widow of Sir John le Norreys, made an agreement with Richard Erneys, as to the custody of her late husbands heir, Henry le Norrey. There was an agreement that Henry would marry Alice, the daughter of Roger Erneys and the grand daughter of Richard. With this marriage came the Erneys properties at the death of Alice's brother John, sometime around 1396.
